Biggest search engine giant, Google has finally made it’s Google Assistant compatible with the Android Lollipop running devices. If you are running a device with stock Android 5.x.x lollipop then you will get the Google Assistant app anytime soon via Google Play services update, just like Google rolled it out for Marshmallow devices. At the moment the update is rolling out for a limited set of countries and languages. Google Assistant will first make it’s appearance in the US (English, Spanish), UK, India (English), Australia, Canada, Spain, Mexico, Singapore (English), Italy, Japan, Germany, Brazil, or Korea.
It will be a major roll out so don’t expect the update will hit your device immediately after release but if you think you are getting impatient to see Google Assistant on your device then follow our manual install process below. Google Assistant is Google’s Answer to the ever-popular Siri by Apple and Cortana by Microsoft and it is the most recent attempt by Google against its other counterparts. It comes in very handy to the user as it can perform almost anything asked and will answer almost any query by the user, personifying the very word “Assistant”.
