HMD Global finally announced it’s Nokia 2 – 4,100mAh battery with Android 7.1.1 Nougat on board

HMD Global finally pulls the wraps off Nokia 2, a new device with very basic specifications but still good to see pure stock Nougat interface. The Nokia 2 design is not very impressive but good to see aluminum wrap around all the edges and a poly carbonate back, Nokia 2 will be available from mid November in the market.

The Nokia 2 is equipped with a 5.0-inch HD IPS display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, in the optics department the device sports 8MP rear camera along 5MP snapper on the front. Under the hood, the device is having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM on board and Andreno 301GPU. The device has a built in 8GB internal storage along SDCard support for further expanding the storage.

What’s so impressive in the device is the 4100mAh battery, which offers a 2 day long lasting battery backup. The box opened device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat firmware and HMD promised to release Android 8.0 Oreo for it’s devices so Nokia 2 will also get the Oreo update along side other Nokia phones. If you have a limited budget but wish to see latest firmware with stock Android UI then Nokia 2 is not a bad option.
