Get the Verizon Droid Turbo 2’s October security patch 25.226.5 build

Verizon and Motorola rolling out October’s security patch update for Motorola’s Droid Turbo 2. The update is arriving as build number 25.226.5.kinzie_verizon.verizon.en.US that brings security patch for the month of October 2017 along with multiple improvements and bug fixes in the firmware. The update not only installs the Oct patch but also fixes the Blueborne exploit along other important things.

Droid Turbo 2 stock Nougat update has been released a few months back and that’s great to see because it’s more then 2 year older device. Unfortunately Oreo will not be available for Turbo 2 as Motorola has not mentioned it’s name in the list. Although if you bootloader unlocked there are a variety of custom Oreo firmware for Turbo 2, we have posted such ROMs for multiple devices you can visit our custom ROM section to see them.

The 25.226.5.kinzie_verizon.verizon.en.US OTA for Droid Turbo 2 is rolling out via OTA so if you own a stock un-rooted device then you can head to Settings > System updates, check for the latest update if available.

Before you begin the download or installation process charge your device at minimum 60% and also make a safe back up of your data and important files.
