Galaxy J3 2017 official Android 7.1.1 Nougat build J3308ZMU1AQG3 [Tutorial]

Finally Samsung started rolling out Android 7.1.1 Nougat OTA to Galaxy J3 2017 in China. The update rolls arrives as build number J3308ZMU1AQG3 that bumps the Android version from Android 7.0 Nougat to Android 7.1.1 Nougat on Galaxy J3 SM-J3308 and also installs July security patch as well. The update took start from China and it seems other variants are soon going to get the update in other regions.

The update is live via OTA so if your device is not rooted then you are going to receive the OTA notification any time soon else you can follow the Odin or Kies method below. This guide is helpful to all those users who have accidentally bricked their device or return to stock firmware from any custom ROM.

Pre-requisite:

Your device should be charged 70% at minimum to avoid shutting down during the process.

Enable USB Debugging. Go to Settings > Developer Options > Enable USB debugging

Official Nougat J3308ZMU1AQG3 firmware for Galaxy J3 SM-J3308. Download

Extract the firmware file in a specific folder on your PC.

Process to install J3308ZMU1AQG3 stock Nougat on Galaxy J3 SM-J3308

Now turn off your device completely.

Reboot your device into Download Mode, to do so follow this guide
