Flash Lineage OS 14.1 ROM on Moto Maxx, Android 7.1.1 Nougat

Motorola Moto Maxx code name ‘quark’ can now be update on Android 7.1.1 Nougat via Lineage OS 14.1 custom ROM. This is the first Lineage OS 14.1 for Moto Maxx, the device already tasted the official Android 7.0 Nougat update released by Motorola. The stock Nougat firmware is not as much customizable as Nougat custom ROM so if you are interested in tweaking your device then we recommend you try the Lineage OS 14.1 on your device.

The Lineage OS 14.1 on your device not only provides the latest version of Android but you can also experience the tweaking stuff that you would love to see on your device. Lineage OS 14.1 is not much different then CyanogenMod 14.1 ROMs because Lineage OS 14.1 runs on the CM source code. This is the unofficial Lineage OS 14.1 build and as an initial roll out you will experience some bugs but most of the feature should work fine. The official Lineage OS build will be started rolling out soon and you can visit the Lineage OS website to keep an eye on the official roll out.

Pre-requisites before you begin:

Your device battery should be in good health to avoid issue while flashing process.
A TWRP custom recovery must be installed on your device, if you haven’t, follow this guide to install it.
Create a Nandroid back up of important data including complete System with all apps and messages, follow this guide to create a Nandroid backup via TWRP recovery.
