Fix for a bootlooping Nexus 5X or Nexus 6P has been released

The Google’s last year Nexus devices including Nexus 6P and 5X have got stuck at a strange bootloop issue, where the device doesn’t boot and as a result stuck at bootscreen. At that time the users who were left with warranty have secured replacement while others were unable to get the replacement and ended up with lifeless phones. If you are also an owner of Nexus 6p or 5X then we must definitely share with you a great news, a fix has been created for a bootlooping Nexus 6p or Nexus 5X.

Thanks to an XDA developer ‘XCnathan32’ who took matter into his own hands and found a way to give your dead device with bootlooping issue a new life again. The Snapdragon Nexus 5X and 6P both run on “big.LITTLE” architecture, that means the power efficient cores become active when the device has less intense workload. The developer stopped the performance cores of CPU and activated the power-efficient cores, once these cores started working the device boots normally.

Obviously stopping some cores might effect the performance of the device but it’s better to have a running device then the dead one. The process is should work fine on Nexus 5X as well, if you are interested in applying this fix to your device then visit the XDA thread in the link below.
