A new system update has been released for Verizon Moto G4 Play. Verizon rolled out January security update for it’s Moto G4 Play via OTA. The update is based on stock Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware and arrives as software version MPIS24.241-2.35-1-13. Although it doesn’t seems to be a major update but it updates the security patch on your device along multiple improvements and bug fixes. If you own a Verizon Moto G4 Play in stock un-rooted condition then the OTA will hit your device anytime soon or manually pick it by going to Settings > About device > System updates.
Meanwhile Verizon is also rolling out official Nougat update for Moto Z Play the updates, the security updates are also important as they have newer security patches to make your device secure from Malware and Virus. Just charge your device to good level to avoid shutting down during the installation process and also stay near the WiFi connection to download the OTA update.
