AT&T S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus and Note 5 getting May security patch

Just like Verizon, AT&T has started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat based latest security updates for Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus and Note 5 bonded with AT&T. The update comes as build number G920AUCS4EQE1 for AT&T S6, G925AUCS4EQE1 for AT&T S6 Edge, G928AUCS4EQE1 for AT&T S6 Edge Plus and N920AUCS4EQE1 for AT&T Note 5.

The update installs security patch for the month of May, 2017 along other minor improvements and bug fixes. The update is now live via OTA as we speak so if you are a user of one of the above mentioned devices then the update is going to hit your device anytime soon. Also follow the update by going through Settings > About device > System updates.

You can also get it via Samsung Kies as well, follow this guide to update your device via Kies

The Stock Nougat firmware has been releases for this device a few weeks back now AT&T is providing regular security updates. Although these updates look minor but are very important too, the purpose of security updates is to protect your device from Malware and Exposures that mostly come through internet.

If you think the Kies method remained unhelpful then follow this guide to update firmware on Samsung devices via Odin.

That’s it! Give us your feedback and share the device with others. Thank You
