AT&T LG K10 gets July security patch in September

Carrier bonded devices often get firmware updates a bit late then carrier free devices. Today, we have seen AT&T rolls out July security patch to Mid range device LG K10 on it’s network, while other devices including Pixel and Nokia have already got updated to September security patch. The latest security patch for AT&T LG K10 bumps the build number to K42520d, while bringing in multiple improvements in the firmware as well.

The OTA carrying build number K42520d is now live OTA but you may get the update in a few days depending on the region. The update is based on Android 7.0 Nougat, if  you own AT&T LG K10 K425 then head to settings > About device section > Choose firmware update and perform an update check. You will get the update notification once your device connects to LG servers, get a good WiFi connection to download the update. Also charge your battery to 60% for a safe installation without shut down issue.

Some of the latest LG devices including LG V30 and LG G6 will get the Android Oreo update soon. The Google’s latest OS update Android 8.0 Oreo also bring in multiple new features like, Picture In Picture mode, snooze notifications, improvements in Doze mode, revamped settings menu and much more.
